The StreetSMART business model is different to most chartered accountancy environments. Unlike many highly structured and hierarchical firms, StreetSMART has a relatively flat structure with a real focus on team work.
Each functional area is led by a coordinator and each team member has a clearly defined role, job description and responsibilities. There is some over lap between functions – for example a red administration person may also have responsibility for delivery of particular client services such as company incorporations and formal company removals. Because StreetSMART believes in growing and stretching its people there is a focus on continuing education, both internal and external. There is a library of business books and DVD’s and all team members are actively encouraged to increase their knowledge and skill base. Full team meetings are held monthly to ensure open and timely communication about the running of the business and to continually brain storm better ways of doing things. Everyone works as a team, and understands that excellent execution of their own role is crucial for the business to operate smoothly. We expect a lot of our people. |
